Sewer

Within the City, there are two sewer providers: The City of Sacramento or Sacramento Area Sewer District (SASD).

The City of Sacramento sewer billing will be combined with the primary residence.

Garbage and Recycling

The City of Sacramento is the solid waste provider for garbage and recycling. The ADU may use the primary residences' garbage bins or can request separate container bins. Visit the City's Recycling and Solid Waste webpage for more information:

Electric and Gas

Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)

It is highly advised that you coordinate with SMUD early in the planning stages to verify any constraints that may dictate the site planning and layout.
